“Farm to Fork to Field” reflects the full, interconnected cycle of food production—from agricultural practices to human health and back to the environment.
To expand opportunities for students to engage with modern agriculture, data science, and science communication in ways that support healthier communities and a more sustainable future.
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
Use data visualizations like charts, graphs, and maps to understand and explain agricultural and environmental data
Leverage social media storytelling to translate scientific research for public audiences
Create engaging visual content that highlights local agricultural challenges and innovations
Present a final project that brings together data, science communication, and stakeholder engagement to address a local agricultural issue
This course includes online learning modules, hands-on experience at Texas State University’s Freeman Center, and a final in-person showcase.
Each participating school will receive media kits to support students in developing and completing their final projects. Students will need to have access to the internet.

Upon successful completion of the required work and program components, students will earn a Certificate in Regenerative Agriculture Communication* as a recognition of their achievement
Complete Orientation
Students will complete short videos that introduce them to the course and the key content areas that will be covered.
Complete Course Modules & Local Projects
Students will complete modules that cover topics such as data visualization, social media campaigns, photography/videography, etc. Lessons will include short videos and activities.
Attend F3 RegenAg Academy at Texas State University Freeman Center
Students will attend F3 RegenAg Academy at the Texas State University Freeman Center for hands-on learning and demonstrations from experts in agricultural sciences.
Submit Final Project for Farm to Fork to Field Showcase
Projects will be assessed using program criteria and completion certificates will be awarded. Scholarships will be given to students who submit the top-performing final projects.
